NERC and FAPESP announce results of call for proposals Six international collaborative proposals were selected, two of those from researchers supported by FAPESP (photo:Nasa)

The Natural Environment Research Council (NERC), one of the United Kingdom Research Councils, announced the result of the International Opportunities Fund, launched in 2011 to support collaborative research between researchers from NERC and from other countries.

Six international projects were selected, two of those co-lead by researchers supported by FAPESP. The call, following NERC’s International Opportunities Fund scheme, was open to joint UK-Brazil proposals submitted under the terms of the RCUK-FAPESP Lead Agency Agreement.
