Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Biodiversity Conservation

• Resumo Summary

  É esperado que o candidato tenha experiência em, pelo menos, algumas das seguintes áreas: ecologia aplicada, conservação, coexistência humano-fauna, ecologia humana, ciência cidadã e educação ambiental. Deve ter comprometimento com a pesquisa, organização, habilidades de comunicação e colaboração para prosperar em um ambiente de pesquisa inter e transdisciplinar. Experiência em projetos transdisciplinares, oficinas de formação e capacitação, facilitação de equipes e pesquisa social são altamente desejáveis.

  O candidato deverá desenvolver em seu plano as seguintes atividades: criar espaços de diálogo entre diferentes atores, realizar entrevistas, acompanhar grupos focais em comunidades, conduzir e avaliar processos transdisciplinares com coprodução de conhecimento e investigar as barreiras e lacunas da relação pesquisa-implementação.

  O candidato deve ter título de doutor obtido há no máximo sete anos, no país ou no exterior, e ter fluência na língua portuguesa. Deve ainda ter desenvolvido sua tese com um tema ligado à ecologia ou conservação da biodiversidade.

  A vaga está aberta a brasileiros e estrangeiros. O selecionado receberá Bolsa de Pós-Doutorado da FAPESP no valor de R$ 12.000,00 mensais e Reserva Técnica equivalente a 10% do valor anual da bolsa para atender a despesas imprevistas e diretamente relacionadas à atividade de pesquisa.

  It is expected that the candidate has experience in, at least some, of the following areas: applied ecology, conservation, human-wildlife coexistence, human ecology, citizen science and environmental education. The candidate must have a commitment to research, organization, communication and collaboration skills to thrive in an inter- and transdisciplinary research environment. Experience in transdisciplinary projects, training and capacity-building workshops, team facilitation and social research are highly desirable.

  The candidate must develop the following activities in his/her plan: create spaces for dialogue between different actors, conduct interviews, monitor focus groups in communities, conduct and evaluate transdisciplinary processes with co-production of knowledge and investigate the barriers and gaps in the research-implementation relationship.

  The candidate must have a doctorate degree obtained no more than seven years ago, in the country or abroad, and be fluent in Portuguese. He/she must also have developed his/her dissertation on a theme related to ecology or biodiversity conservation.   This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 12,000.00 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
