• Resumo Summary

  Nosso grupo está interessado em caracterizar e entender o impacto do epigenoma na expressão gênica. Neste projeto será utilizado abordagens de manipulação do genoma do parasita, como CRISPR/Cas9, e diversas abordagens ômicas, incluindo proteômica, genômica e transcriptômica.

  Os candidatos devem possuir doutorado em Biologia Molecular e/ou Celular e/ou Bioquímica e/ou Parasitologia. Será preferível candidatos com conhecimento prévio em epigenética e/ou metabolismo de DNA e/ou biologia de tripanosssomas e que tenham facilidade em análises computacionais. Experiência prévia em manipulação do genoma, seja por recombinação homóloga ou por CRISPR-Cas9, é recomendado. Além disso, é ainda necessário bom domínio do inglês escrito e falado, ser auto-motivado e ter interesse e facilidade para trabalhar em ambientes interdisciplinares.

  O candidato a Bolsa de Pós-Doutorado deve ter concluído o Doutorado há menos de 7 anos e ter excelente histórico escolar de Pós-Graduação. Não serão aceitos candidatos que já tenham gozado de bolsa FAPESP de PD por mais de 2 anos e que não possuam artigo científico como primeiro/último autor.

  A vaga está aberta a brasileiros e estrangeiros. O selecionado receberá Bolsa de Pós-Doutorado da FAPESP no valor de R$ 7.373,10 mensais e Reserva Técnica equivalente a 10% do valor anual da bolsa para atender a despesas imprevistas e diretamente relacionadas à atividade de pesquisa.

  A post-doctoral fellowship funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) to investigate the role of the epigenome in the regulation of gene expression in trypanosomes is available at the Butantan Institute in São Paulo, Brazil. Approaches to manipulate the parasite's genome, such as CRISPR-Cas9, as well as several omic approaches, including proteomics, genomics and transcriptomics, will be used.

  Candidates must have a PhD in Molecular and / or Cellular Biology and / or Biochemistry and / or Parasitology. Candidates with prior knowledge in epigenetics and / or DNA metabolism and / or trypanosome biology and those with bioinformatic skills will be preferred. Previous experience in genome manipulation, either by homologous recombination or by CRISPR-Cas9, is recommended. In addition, it is also necessary to have a good command of written and spoken English, as well as being self-motivated and interested.

  Must have excellent Graduate School history. Candidates who have already received a FAPESP PD scholarship for more than 2 years will not be accepted as well as those with no scientific article as the first/last author.

The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP’s Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 7,373.10 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
