  Buscamos preencher uma vaga de pós-doutorado com Bolsa FAPESP (R$7.373,10 mensais) de 24 meses para desenvolver projeto relacionado a busca de novos antivirais para tratamento de COVID-19.

  Candidatos devem ter doutorado na área há menos de sete anos e preencher os demais requisitos necessários para concessão de Bolsa PD FAPESP (http://www.fapesp.br/270).

  É essencial ter larga experiência, demonstrada por publicações relevantes na área, em técnicas de biologia celular e molecular como cultura de células de mamíferos, western blotting, microscopia de fluorescência e/ou clonagem molecular. Experiência em virologia ou farmacologia é desejável, mas não necessária.

  O projeto envolve estabelecer uma linhagem de células humanas com expressão ectópica de uma proteína viral e desenvolver ensaio baseado em western blot ou imunofluorescência que permita detectar a atividade desta enzima, para posterior varredura de inibidores.

  A vaga está aberta a brasileiros e estrangeiros. Além da Bolsa, o selecionado terá direito a Reserva Técnica equivalente a 15% do valor anual da bolsa para atender a despesas imprevistas e diretamente relacionadas à atividade de pesquisa.

  We are recruiting a post-doctoral scientist to work on a project for the development of new antiviral agents for COVID-19 treatment, hosted by the Institute of Chemistry of the University of São Paulo (IQ-USP), Brazil.

  The selected candidate will be granted a fellowship from the São Paulo Research Foundation-FAPESP (BRL 7,373.10 for 24 months). Applicants must have less than seven years of post-doctoral experience and fulfill all other requirements for a FAPESP Fellowship (http://www.fapesp.br/en/5427).

  Substantial experience in molecular and cellular biology techniques, demonstrated by relevant publications in the field, is essential. This includes mammalian cell culture, western blotting, fluorescence microscopy and / or molecular cloning. Virology or pharmacology background is desirable, but not essential.

  The project involves establishing a human cell line that ectopically expresses a viral protein and developing a western blotting or fluorescence microscopy-based assay to detect the activity of this enzyme, for subsequent screening of potential inhibitors.

  This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate is also to entitled to a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
