Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Obesity Research

• Resumo Summary

  Uma bolsa de pós-doutorado no projeto “Papel dos receptores de NPY periféricos na regulação da homeostase energética em resposta ao exercício físico” é oferecida pelo Laboratório de Investigação em Diabetes e Metabolismo (LIMED), membro do Centro de Pesquisa em Obesidade e Comorbidades (OCRC), um dos Centros de Pesquisa, Inovação e Difusão (CEPIDs) apoiados pela FAPESP, com sede na Unicamp.

  O projeto será conduzido sob a supervisão do Prof. Dr. Bruno Geloneze Neto e terá duração de 12 meses, com início previsto para fevereiro de 2023.

  Os candidatos devem ter finalizado o doutorado (ou estarem próximos de defender a tese); ter amplo conhecimento em técnicas de bioinformática (identificação e validação de genes-alvo na regulação de transcritos e fenótipos, RNA-Seq, Single-cell RNA-Seq); em técnicas de biologia molecular (genotipagem, RT-PCR, Western Blotting); em análises de metabolômica e proteômica; na condução de experimentos para avaliação da homeostase energética in vivo (GTT, ITT, calorimetria indireta); e em protocolos de exercício físico em camundongos.

  A vaga está aberta a brasileiros e estrangeiros. O selecionado receberá Bolsa de Pós-Doutorado da FAPESP no valor de R$ 8.479,20 mensais e Reserva Técnica equivalente a 10% do valor anual da bolsa para atender a despesas imprevistas e diretamente relacionadas à atividade de pesquisa.

   

  One post-doctoral fellowship opportunity is offered by the Laboratory for Research in Diabetes and Metabolism (LIMED), a member of the Obesity and Comorbidities Research Center (OCRC) – OCRC is one of the Research, Innovation and Dissemination Centers (RIDCs) supported by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and is hosted by the State University of Campinas in São Paulo state, Brazil.

  The fellow will work at the project titled “Role of peripheral NPY receptors in the regulation of energy homeostasis in response to physical exercise”. The project will be conducted under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Bruno Geloneze Neto and will last for 12 months, starting in February 2023.

  Candidates must have completed their PhD; have extensive knowledge in bioinformatics techniques (identification and validation of target genes in the regulation of transcripts and phenotypes, RNA-Seq, Single-cell RNA-Seq), in molecular biology techniques (genotyping, RT-PCR, Western Blotting), in metabolomics and proteomics analyses, experience in experiments to assess energy homeostasis in vivo (GTT, ITT, indirect calorimetry) and in exercise protocols in mice.

  This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 8,479.20 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
