Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Immunology

  Uma posição de pós-doutorado, com duração de 12 meses, está disponível na Plataforma de Medicina Translacional da Fiocruz e FMRP-USP, Ribeirão Preto, SP, Brasil. O pesquisador irá atuar no Projeto Temático “SPIICA – Rede Internacional São Paulo - Imperial College (UK) de estudo das correlações imunológicas em arbovírus: Especial ênfase em CHIKV”.

  Os candidatos devem ser excepcionalmente motivados, inovadores, capazes de trabalhar de forma independente e com um ambiente em equipe e ter disponibilidade para realizar viagem para coleta de amostra/processamento em campo. O candidato ideal deve ter formação com ênfase em imunologia. É necessário experiência em manipulação de amostras provenientes de pacientes, cultivo celular, citometria de análise high throughput, técnicas de biologia molecular, qPCR e análise por microscopia confocal. Exige-se também conhecimento avançado da língua inglesa. Experiência prévia em diferentes laboratórios (no Brasil e no exterior) e em virologia serão considerados um aspecto positivo no processo seletivo.

  A vaga está aberta a brasileiros e estrangeiros. O selecionado receberá Bolsa no valor de R$ 7.373,10 mensais e Reserva Técnica equivalente a 10% do valor anual da Bolsa para atender a despesas imprevistas e diretamente relacionadas à atividade de pesquisa.

  A 12-month post-doctoral position is available at the Platform for Translational Medicine Department jointly established by the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (FIOCRUZ) and the Ribeirão Preto Medical School of the University of São Paulo ( FMRP-USP), Ribeirão Preto, Brazil. The researcher will develop the project entitled "‘SPIICA’ – The São Paulo-Imperial College Immune Correlates in Arbovirus Infection International Network: Special emphasis: CHIKV”.

  Applicants must be exceptionally motivated, innovative, able to work independently and in a collaborative team setting, and be willing to travel for sample collection/processing in the field. The ideal candidate must have a background with an emphasis on immunology. Experience in handling patient samples, cell culture, high-throughput analysis cytometry, molecular biology techniques, qPCR, and confocal microscopy analysis is required. Advanced knowledge of the English language is also necessary. Previous experience in different laboratories (in Brazil and abroad) and virology techniques will be considered a positive aspect during the selection process.

  The position is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a Post-Doctoral Scholarship of R$ 7,373.10 and a Technical Reserve equivalent to 10% of the annual scholarship amount which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
