    Contato: Dr. Marilia Seelaender (seelaend@icb.usp.br).

The project addresses molecular aspects of cancer cachexia-related systemic inflammation in patients, with special focus on the role of adipose tissue derived cytokines. In addition, patients are treated with chronic endurance exercise, as an anti-inflammatory strategy.

Candidates (areas: biochemisty, molecular biology, medicine, immunology, nutrition and exercise) should speak fluent English and enjoy team work.

For applications, please contact Dr. Marilia Seelaender (seelaend@icb.usp.br).

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP's Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 6.819,30 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
