  • Resumo Summary

    O projeto temático "Nitrato e nitrito de sódio: dos mecanismos à terapêutica anti-hipertensiva", financiado pela FAPESP, oferece uma bolsa de pós-doutorado, com vigência de até 2 anos, com início imediato. 

    O profissional a ser selecionado deverá ter Doutorado finalizado, formação em farmacologia cardiovascular, sólidos conhecimentos em farmacologia e fisiologia cardiovascular e gástrica. 

    O candidato também deverá ter amplo domínio de técnicas cirúrgicas utilizadas em modelos de doenças cardiovasculares em roedores, entre elas indução de hipertensão 2 rins, 1 clipe, canulação de artérias e veias e obtenção de tecidos para análises bioquímicas. 

    O candidato também deverá ter amplo domínio em medir nitrato, nitrito, nitrosotióis e nitrosaminas em líquidos biológicos e em tecidos utilizando técnicas de quimioluminescência e outros bioquímicos. 

    Também deverá dominar outros métodos bioquímicos, incluindo Western blotting e biotin switch assay”. É fundamental que o candidato tenha fluência em inglês e facilidade de trabalhar em equipe.

    The project entitled "Sodium nitrate and nitrite: from mechanisms to antihypertensive therapy" funded by FAPESP offers a Post-doctoral fellowship for up to 2 years starting immediately. 

    Candidates must have a PhD degree, good background in cardiovascular pharmacology, good knowledge of cardiovascular and gastric pharmacology and physiology.

    Candidates must have wide experience with surgical techniques used in animal rodent models of cardiovascular diseases including the 2 kidney, 1 clip hypertension model, cannulation of arteries and veins and collecting tissue samples for biochemical analysis. 

    Candidates must also know how to measure nitrites, nitrates, nitrosothiols and nitrosamines in biological fluids and tissue samples using chemiluminescence-based techniques and other biochemical methods.
     
    Candidates must also know other methods including Western blotting and the "biotin switch" assay. It is fundamental that the candidate be fluent in English and work easily with a team.

    This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP's Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 6,143.40 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
