  A Faculdade de Medicina Veterinária e Zootecnia de Botucatu – Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp), oferece uma bolsa de Pós-Doutorado para pesquisa em mastite bovina. A bolsa será para dedicação exclusiva, com duração mínima de 24 meses, custeada pela Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP, processo nº 2015/19688-8, vigência: 01/04/2017 a 31/03/2022).
  
  A bolsa está vinculada ao Projeto Temático "E. coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae e Enterococcus spp: Impacto dos fatores de virulência na mastite bovina e reflexos na saúde pública", uma colaboração entre a Faculdade de Medicina Veterinária e Zootecnia e o Instituto de Biociências da Unesp de Botucatu, Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Unicamp), e Agência Paulista de Tecnologia dos Agronegócios (Apta) Bauru.
  
  O Projeto visa investigar casos de mastite causados por Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae e Enterococcus spp., correlacionando caracterização genotípica e fenotípica dos patógenos envolvidos na infecção intramamária, bem como dos fatores de virulência, pesquisa dos seus genes desencadeantes, perfil de citocinas como marcadores de virulência e multirresistência aos antimicrobianos desses patógenos.
  
  O(A) pós-doutorando(a) irá integrar o Núcleo de Pesquisas em Mastite (NUPEMAS) da Unesp, em Botucatu, sob a coordenação do Prof. Titular Hélio Langoni e será responsável pela condução de um dos sub-projetos contido na proposta aprovada pela FAPESP (Identificação de Enterococcus spp. por proteômica e pesquisa de genes de resistência à vancomicina nos isolados de vacas com mastite e no leite de tanques de expansão).
  
  Requisitos do candidato: Os candidatos devem ser médicos veterinários, ter mestrado e doutorado na área de Medicina Veterinária Preventiva e possuir sólido conhecimento sobre mastites, qualidade de leite e demais aspectos inerentes ao projeto. Exige-se dedicação integral às atividades do projeto. Outras exigências são aplicadas em conformidade às normas da FAPESP em fapesp.br/bolsas/pd.
  
  A seleção será baseada no currículo dos candidatos e entrevista para avaliação da capacitação nos tópicos essenciais para o desenvolvimento das atividades inerentes a proposta.

  The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science of Botucatu - Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp), offers a postdoctoral fellowship for research on bovine mastitis. The scholarship will be for exclusive dedication, with a minimum duration of 24 months, funded by the Foundation for Research Support of the State of São Paulo (FAPESP, nº 2015 / 19688-8, effective: 01/04/2017 to 03/31/2022 ).
  
  The scholarship is linked to the Thematic Project "E. coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae and Enterococcus spp.: Impact of virulence factors in bovine mastitis and public health concern", a collaboration between the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science and the Institute of Biosciences of Unesp of Botucatu, State University of Campinas (Unicamp), and Paulista Agency of Agribusiness Technology (Apta) Bauru.
  
  The project aims to investigate cases of mastitis caused by Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae and Enterococcus spp., correlating genotypic and phenotypic characterization of the pathogens involved in the intramammary infection, as well as virulence factors, research of their triggering genes, cytokine profile as markers of virulence and multiresistance to the antimicrobials of these pathogens.
  
  The postdoctoral fellow will join the Mastitis Research Center (NUPEMAS) of Unesp, in Botucatu, under the coordination of Prof. Hélio Langoni and will be responsible for conducting one of the sub-projects contained in the proposal approved by FAPESP (Identification of Enterococcus spp. by proteomics and research of vancomycin resistance genes in isolates from cow with mastitis and in milk from bulk tanks) .
  
  Candidate requirements: Candidates must be veterinarians, have master's and doctorate degrees in Preventive Veterinary Medicine and have a solid knowledge of mastitis, milk quality and others related aspects of the project. Full dedication to project activities is required. Other requirements are applied in accordance with FAPESP regulations in fapesp.br/bolsas/pd.

  
  The selection will be based on the candidates' curriculum and interview to evaluate the qualification in the topics essential for the development of the activities related to the proposal. The remuneration and benefits comply with FAPESP (see fapesp.br/3162).

  This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP’s Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 6.819,30 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
