  • Resumo Summary

    O projeto “Déficit Inibitório como Marcador da Neuroplasticidade na Reabilitação”, conduzido no Instituto de Medicina Física e Reabilitação do Hospital das Clínicas da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo (Imrea/HCFMUSP), permitirá ao aluno de pós-doutorado uma melhor compreensão e aprendizado do processo de elaboração e estruturação de uma pesquisa científica e das etapas necessárias para a translação do conhecimento gerado à prática clínica.

    Além disso, o aluno aprofundará os conhecimentos sobre pesquisa em reabilitação, incluindo o aprendizado sobre modernas técnicas de estudo neurofisiológico, plasticidade cerebral e avaliações funcionais.

    Outro aspecto de relevância será a oportunidade de aprendizado e orientação com Pesquisador Internacional (Harvard University), cuja vinda será subsidiada via a modalidade FAPESP São Paulo Excellence Chair. Ao longo deste período, o aluno terá a oportunidade de concretizar o pensamento científico e concretizar a formação como pesquisador.

    Pré-requisitos:

    - O candidato deverá ter concluído o doutoramento há menos de 7 (sete) anos;
    - A bolsa pressupõe dedicação exclusiva ao projeto de pesquisa;
    - O bolsista não pode ter vínculo empregatício nem poderá receber, durante toda a vigência da bolsa, bolsa de outra entidade, salário ou remuneração decorrente do exercício de atividades de qualquer natureza.

    Sobre o projeto:

    O projeto, baseado em hipóteses especificas, busca identificar biomarcadores neurofisiológicos da recuperação funcional de forma “transdiagnóstica” em quatro condições clínicas diferentes – sendo elas o Acidente Vascular Cerebral (AVC), Lesão Medular (LM), amputação e a osteoartrose de joelhos (AO) – e comparar com sujeitos normais (pareados para idade e sexo). O projeto prevê a coleta de dados clínicos, demográficos, funcionais e neurofisiológicos de 100 pacientes de cada um dos grupos de doenças, além dos 100 sujeitos saudáveis (grupo controle), realizada em um período de quarto anos.

    Para explorar de forma ampla as possíveis correlações da funcionalidade dos pacientes com as características neurofisiológicas, serão utilizados um grande número de instrumentos de avaliações funcionais, incluindo sistemas robotizados e sensores de movimentos. Na prática clínica, por outro lado, nem sempre é possível fazer as mesmas avaliações realizadas na pesquisa, por conta de sua complexidade e longa duração. Com isso, a dificuldade de realizar as avaliações funcionais dos pacientes em reabilitação de forma rápida, objetiva e precisa é uma dos desafios da translação do conhecimento gerado nas pesquisas para a pratica clínica.

    Perfil do Candidato:

    - Excelente comunicação verbal e escrita;
    - Facilidade em trabalhar em equipe;
    - Capacidade de liderança;
    - Bom histórico escolar;
    - Inglês fluente (verbal e escrita);
    - Publicação Prévia do Doutorado;
    - Capacidade de usar software de análise estatística.

    Os interessados deverão enviar e-mail para centrodepesquisa.imrea@hc.fm.usp.br e antonio.migliorati@hc.fm.usp.br até 08/11/2019, com a seguinte documentação:

    - Curriculum vitae atualizado;
    - Carta de interesse;
    - Histórico escolar do Ensino Superior (Graduação), completo;
    - Contato (Nome, Telefone, e-mail) de duas pessoas para referências, de preferência professores e ex-professores.

    A vaga está aberta a brasileiros e estrangeiros. O selecionado receberá Bolsa de Pós-Doutorado da FAPESP no valor de R$ 7.373,10 mensais e Reserva Técnica equivalente a 15% do valor anual da bolsa para atender a despesas imprevistas e diretamente relacionadas à atividade de pesquisa. A bolsa tem duração de até 24 meses, e sua continuidade dependerá da avaliação satisfatória do aluno.

    The project “Inhibitory Deficit as a Marker of Neuroplasticity in Rehabilitation” will provide the post-doctoral student a better understanding and learning of the process of elaboration and structuring of a scientific research and of the necessary steps for the translation of the generated knowledge into clinical practice. Studies will be conducted at the Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine Institute of Hospital das Clínicas (HC), the general and teaching hospital of University of São Paulo’s Medicine School (FM-USP).

    In addition, the student will deepen his/her knowledge regarding rehabilitation research, including learning about modern techniques of neurophysiological study, brain plasticity and functional evaluations.

    Another relevant aspect will be the opportunity for learning with and the guidance of International Researcher (Harvard University) brought in as fellowship supervisor thanks to subsidy from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) via its SPEC funding scheme (São Paulo Excellence Chair). Throughout this period the student will have the opportunity to construct scientific thinking and complete his/her training as a researcher.

    Requirements:

    - The candidate must have completed his PhD up 7 (seven) years prior to subscription;
    - The scholarship requires exclusive dedication to the research project;
    - The scholarship holder can not have an employment relationship and can not receive, during the term of the scholarship, a scholarship from another entity, salary or remuneration from the exercise of activities of any nature.

    About the project:

    The project is based on specific hypotheses and seeks to identify through a “transdiagnostic” approach the neurophysiological biomarkers of functional recovery in four different clinical conditions, namely Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury (SCI), amputation and knee osteoarthrosis (OA), and then comparing them with healthy subjects (matched for age and sex). The project includes the collection of clinical, demographic, functional and neurophysiological data of 100 patients from each of the disease groups, in addition to 100 healthy subjects of the control group, all of which will be carried out in a period of four years.

    In order to fully explore the possible correlations of patients’ functionality with neurophysiological characteristics, a large number of functional assessment instruments, including robotic systems and motion sensors, will be used. In clinical practice, on the other hand, it is not always possible to carry out the same evaluations performed in the research due to the complexity and the duration of the project. Thus, the difficulty of performing the functional evaluations of patients in rehabilitation in a fast, objective and accurate way is one of the challenges of translating the generated knowledge into research for clinical practice.

    Candidate Profile:

    - Excellent verbal and written communication;
    - Teamwork Skills;
    - Leadership Skills;
    - Good School History;
    - Fluent English (Verbal and Written);
    - Preliminary Publication of the Doctorate;
    - Ability to use statistical analysis software.

    Interested parties should send email to centrodepesquisa.imrea@hc.fm.usp.br and to antonio.migliorati@hc.fm.usp.br until November, 08th, 2019 with the following documentation:

    - Updated Curriculum Vitae;
    - Letter of interest;
    - Complete school history of College Education (graduate);
    - Contact (name, telephone, e-mail) of two people for references, preferably teachers and / or former teachers.

    This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP’s Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 7,373.10 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity. This fellowship has a duration of up to 24 months. Continuity will depend on the student's satisfactory assessment.
