  Uma posição de pós-doutorado, com duração de 24 meses, está disponível na Plataforma Bi-Institucional de Medicina Translacional da Fundação Oswaldo Cruz e Faculdade de Medicina de Ribeirão Preto da Universidade de São Paulo (FMRP-USP), com sede em Ribeirão Preto. O pesquisador irá desenvolver o projeto intitulado “Vacina intranasal bivalente utilizando vírus influenza expressando a proteína S (spike) do SARS-CoV-2: mecanismos de proteção e lesão pulmonar”.

  Para tal, o pesquisador selecionado deverá desempenhar suas atividades científicas no âmbito da Plataforma Bi-Institucional de Medicina Translacional. Os candidatos devem ser excepcionalmente motivados, inovadores, devem ser capazes de trabalhar de forma independente e com um ambiente em equipe. O candidato ideal deve ter um grau de doutoramento e formação nas áreas de imunologia, biologia celular e molecular ou bioquímica. Experiência prévia em técnicas como cultura de tecido, manipulação animal, biologia molecular e bioquímica é desejável. Experiência em edição de DNA usando CRISPR será considerada.

  A vaga está aberta a brasileiros e estrangeiros. O selecionado receberá Bolsa de Pós-Doutorado da FAPESP no valor de R$ 7.373,10 mensais e Reserva Técnica equivalente a 15% do valor anual da bolsa para atender a despesas imprevistas e diretamente relacionadas à atividade de pesquisa.

  A 24-month post-doctoral position is available at the joint Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (FIOCRUZ) and Ribeirão Preto Medical School of the University of São Paulo (FMRP-USP) Bi-Institutional Platform for Translational Medicine, based in Ribeirão Preto, state of São Paulo, Brazil. The researcher will develop the project entitled: "Bivalent intranasal vaccine using influenza virus expressing SARS-CoV-2 protein S (spike): protection mechanisms and lung injury”.

  To do so, the selected candidate must perform his/her activities within the scope of the Bi-Institutional Platform for Translational Medicine. Applicants must be exceptionally motivated, innovative, should be able to work independently and within a collaborative team setting. The candidate must have a PhD degree and background in the fields of virology, immunology, cell biology and/or biochemistry. Prior experience in techniques such as tissue culture, animal handling, molecular biology and biochemistry are desirable. Experience in DNA editing using CRISPR will be considered.

The selected candidate will receive a Post-Doctoral fellowship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) in the amount of R$ 7,373.10 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
