Vaga de Pós-Doutorado em Virologia para a Coorte Zika - Jundiaí - Faculdade de Medicina de Jundiaí
Oferecemos ambiente de trabalho colaborativo, com possibilidade de crescimento interno e importantes contribuições no contexto da epidemia por Zika vírus em uma coorte de gestantes e crianças de até três anos da macro região de Jundiaí, São Paulo.
O candidato deve possuir Doutorado em Virologia ou em áreas correlatas, produção científica compatível com a posição e perfil de liderança para acompanhamento de rotina laboratorial e diagnóstico molecular. Experiência desejável em biologia molecular, sorologia, virologia e análise estatística. É desejável ainda experiência com arboviroses, bem como com outros campos da virologia.
Como pós-doutorando o profissional será encarregado de acompanhar rotina em laboratório clínico, elaborar novas hipóteses, orientar e supervisionar o corpo laboratorial, redigir pedidos de auxílio às agências de fomento, possuir habilidades de comunicação entre o corpo clínico e laboratorial, além de produzir trabalhos para divulgação de resultados para publicação em revistas da área e/ou congressos científicos.Post-doc Virologist Position in the Jundiaí Zika Cohort Study - Jundiai Medical School
We are offering a unique opportunity to collaborate in one of the few cohort studies in the State of São Paulo looking at the effects of Zika virus infection in pregnant women. The position would involve working as part of a dynamic and multi-disciplinary team in the region of Jundiai following up 700 pregnant women and their children until their 3rd birthday.
The candidate must have a PhD in Virology or a related area, scientific production and experience in molecular biology, serology, virology (preferably with arboviruses) and statistical analysis.
The professional will be in charge of monitoring the routine laboratory tests and molecular diagnoses. In addition, the selected candidate will be expected to participate in team discussions, help to formulate new hypotheses, guide and supervise the laboratory staff, draft requests for funding to appropriate bodies and agencies, and foster a good work ethic and communication skills between the clinical and laboratory staff. Undoubtedly, this position will provide a distinctive opportunity for publication in high impact journals and participation in international conferences.
This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP's Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 6.819,30 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
