  • Resumo Summary

    O Centro Multidisciplinar de Pesquisa em Obesidade e Doenças Associadas está selecionando um bolsista de pós-doutorado para desenvolver projeto de pesquisa relacionado à maturação pós-natal do pâncreas endócrino. 

    O objetivo principal do estudo é caracterizar fatores epigenéticos reguladores da maturação das células β pancreáticas. 

    As atribuições do bolsista incluem: condução da pesquisa, apresentação de seminários, elaboração de artigos científicos e disseminação dos resultados da pesquisa em congressos e eventos científicos, orientação/coorientação de alunos e cooperação com projetos educacionais. 

    O bolsista deverá ter formação pertinente à área de biologia, com ampla experiência no estudo do pâncreas endócrino e domínio de técnicas de secreção de insulina, isolamento e cultura primária de ilhotas pancreáticas, histologia, imunofluorescência e biologia molecular.

    A 2 years, full-time postdoctoral research fellowship is available at the Obesity and Comorbidities Research Center, University of São Paulo, Brazil. 

    The scientific aim of the project is to investigate epigenetic factors involved in the postnatal maturation of the endocrine pancreas. The fellowship is funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP). 

    We are seeking applicants who are exceptionally motivated, innovative, and can work independently within a collaborative team setting. The desired candidate must have excellent background in the field of biological sciences. Wide experience in rodent pancreatic islets isolation and culture, RIE, histology, immunohistochemistry and molecular biology techniques are essential. The position requires excellent written and oral communication skills. 

    Obesity and Comorbidities Research Center is a non-profit organization devoted to the research of obesity and related disorders. OCRC is affiliated to the University of Campinas and University of São Paulo. Our research facility is located in São Paulo, SP, Brazil.

    This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP's Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 6,143.40 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
