Resumo
Summary
Os contatos devem ser feitos pelo email fjhblazq@usp.br, escrevendo no campo assunto as seguintes palavras: Postdoc IHC.The Laboratory of Stochastic Stereology and Chemical Anatomy of the School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences of the University of São Paulo is selecting researchers to develop studies in quantitative microscopy (both optical and electron microscopy) to evaluate the expression of cadherins, cell junction molecules, catenins (α and β) and connexins, during the histological and ultrastructural development of the bovine digestive tract from the fetal stages until adulthood.
The effect of different dietary energy sources on these aspects of the ruminal epithelium will also be verified.
The activity will involve coordinating teams of undergraduate and graduate students; planning and monitoring field experiments and biological material sampling (biopsies and slaughterhouses); preparation of material for methods of molecular biology, histology, Immunohistochemistry with double or triple fluorescence staining and confocal microscopy, and by morphometric quantification of several tissue characteristics.
It is required previous knowledge of veterinary anatomy, and familiarity with quantitative microscopy, especially morphometry, histological preparation techniques for optical and electron microscopy, and knowledge of techniques for Immunohistochemistry, RT-PCR, IHC and bioinformatics.
Inscription requires covering letter demonstrating the required experience and updated CV. The selected applicants will be called for an interview by Skype.
The contacts should be made by email (fjhblazq@usp.br) writing in the subject field the following words: Postdoc IHC.
This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP's Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 6,143.40 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
