Drª. Célia Regina da Silva Garcia (cgarcia@usp.br).

The thematic project "Functional Genomics in Plasmodium" funded by FAPESP (2011 /51295-5) has an open postdoctoral position for research collaboration with the Laboratory Cellular Signaling in Malaria of the Institute of Biosciences at University of São Paulo, Brazil.

This project aims the generation of devices for topical delivery of antimalarials under development by the laboratory based on polymeric membranes of different architectures.

The candidates should have a PhD obtained in the last five years in areas related to the project. The ideal candidate should have experience in cell biology (ex: cell culture), biomaterials and related techniques in both.

The project will be funded by FAPESP, according to its regulation (www.fapesp.br/3162).

Those interested must send a letter of interest and curriculum summary (FAPESP standards) and 2 reference letters for Prof. Celia Regina da Silva Garcia (cgarcia@usp.br).

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP's Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 6,143.40 (around 2,600 USD) monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
