  O Centro de Aquicultura da UNESP, campus de Jaboticabal, SP, oferece vaga para pós-doutorado com bolsa FAPESP.
  
  Os candidatos devem ter concluído o doutoramento há menos de 7 (sete) anos, com titulação na área de Zootecnia, Medicina Veterinária ou Aquacultura, não ter vínculo empregatício, devem se dedicar exclusivamente ao projeto de pesquisa, devem ter experiência comprovada em nutrição aminoacídica e energética de peixes e estatística e devem ter conhecimento avançado da língua inglesa para redação, leitura e conversação ou ter realizado estágio no exterior, em país de língua inglesa. 
  
  O selecionado atuará no desenvolvimento do projeto temático "Modelagem da produção e das exigências nutricionais de aves e peixes" (Processo Fapesp 2013/25761-4). 
  
  As atividades a serem realizadas compreendem:
  - desenvolver o projeto "Modelo de predição das exigências nutricionais de tilápias e pacus", relacionado ao projeto temático, vide resumo abaixo;
  - participar do desenvolvimento de novas metodologias que serão padronizadas durante a realização do projeto;
  - acompanhar atividades relacionadas ao projeto temático, dando apoio aos estudantes no desenvolvimento de teses e dissertações, contribuindo para o desenvolvimento e andamento adequado dos estudos realizados, bem como na redação dos relatórios e artigos científicos.
   
  Resumo do projeto a ser desenvolvido. Este plano tem por objetivo: 
  
  (i) sistematizar e analisar as informações disponíveis no projeto temático em questão e na literatura para gerar parâmetros e equações que permitirão descrever a partição de nutrientes para diferentes componentes (deposição proteica, lipídica e mineral); 
  
  (ii) desenvolver um modelo de predição das exigências em energia e aminoácidos para tilápias e pacus. Os parâmetros e equações serão estimados utilizando os dados obtidos dos experimentos já conduzidos no Centro de Aquicultura da UNESP e previstos no transcorrer do projeto temático. 
  
  No desenvolvimento do modelo e validação três etapas serão seguidas: 
  
  (1) identificação das variáveis de “entrada” (independentes) e de “saída” (dependentes), levando em consideração os objetivos de cada modelo (tilápias e pacus); 
  (2) estabelecimento da estrutura das diferentes relações matemáticas que irão compor o modelo; 
  (3) avaliação do modelo.
  
  As informações geradas nesta proposta serão fundamentais para aplicar e otimizar os dados gerados até o momento pelo projeto temático e na literatura disponível. Como produto deste projeto, será desenvolvido um modelo para predizer as exigências nutricionais de tilápias e pacus em planilha eletrônica.
   
  A bolsa tem duração de dois anos, e os interessados deverão candidatar-se até 23 de fevereiro de 2015.

  Aquaculture Center of UNESP (Jaboticabal/São Paulo/Brazil) offers a post doctoral opportunity (for Brazilians and foreigners) with grant. 
  
  Candidates should have Ph.D. degree for no more than 7 years in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine or Aquaculture, may not have employment relationship, should dedicate exclusively to the research project, have proven experience on amino acids and energy nutrition of fish and on statistics and have advanced knowledge on writing, reading and speaking English, or stage abroad in a English language country.
   
  The selected will act in the development of the project "Modeling production and nutritional requirements of poultry and fish" (Fapesp Process 2013/25761-4). 
  
  The activities to be performed are: 
  - Develop the research project "Prediction model of nutritional requirements of tilapia and pacu", related to the thematic project, according to abstract below;
  - Participate in the development of new methodologies that will be standardized during the course of the projetc;
  - Develop activities related to the thematic project, supporting students on the development of thesis and dissertations, contributing to the development and conduction of appropriate studies, as well as reports and scientific papers. 
  
  Abstract of the research project to be conducted. This plan aims to: 
  
  (i) systematize and analyze the information available in the current thematic project and literature to generate parameters and equations that will enable to describe the nutrient partitioning for different components (protein, lipid and mineral deposition); 
  
  (ii) develop a prediction model of the requirements in energy and amino acids for tilapia and pacu. The parameters and equations will be estimated using data obtained from the trials already conducted in the Aquaculture Center of UNESP and provided in the course of the thematic project. 
  
  In developing the model and validation three steps will be followed: 
  
  (1) identify the variables of "input" (independent) and "output" (dependents), taking into account the objectives of each model (tilapia and pacu); 
  (2) establishment of the structure of different mathematical relationships that will compose the model; 
  (3) Model Review. 
  
  The informations generated in this proposal are fundamental to implement and optimize the data generated by the thematic project and in the available literature. As a product of this project it will be develop a model to predict the nutritional requirements of tilapia and pacu in a spreadsheet. 
  
  The post doctoral grant has duration of two years. Interested candidates should apply until February 23, 2015.

  The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP's Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 6,143.40 (around 2,600 USD) monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
