  O Instituto de Matemática, Estatística e Computação Científica (IMECC), localizado na Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Unicamp) busca candidatos para preencher uma bolsa de Pós-Doutorado da Fapesp - www.fapesp.br/bolsas/pd. 
  
  A área de pesquisa inclui: 
  (i) Topological theory of dynamical system: stability (local and global), topology of minimal sets, Conley index; 
  (ii) Generic bifurcation: local and global bifurcations; 
  (iii) Symetries in dynamical systems: equivariance and reversibility; 
  (iv) Qualitative aspects of non-smoth dynamical systems: typical singularities, typical cycles and loops, asymptotic stability, typical minimal sets.
   
  Esta posição estará sob a supervisão do Prof. Dr. Marco Antônio Teixeira. O candidato precisa estar interessado em trabalhar em colaboração com outros pesquisadores e estudantes de pós-graduação dentro do grupo de pesquisa. 
  
  O candidato deve ter ou estar fazendo doutorado em Matemática com ênfase em Topologia e Sistemas Dinâmicos. O candidato deve ter proficiência em expor seus resultados científicos em revistas de alta qualidade bem como apresentá-los em reuniões científicas. 
  
  O candidato deve submeter até 1 de fevereiro de 2015, para o endereço teixeira@ime.unicamp.br, um texto explicitando sua experiência de pesquisa e interesse na área, bem como um currículo atualizado contendo nomes e informações de contato de três professores que possam dar referências profissionais sobre o candidato.
   
  O processo de seleção consiste de duas fases. Na primeira fase, os documentos enviados pelos candidatos serão analisados. Tal análise será feita por um comitê de 3 especialistas da área de pesquisa. As respostas serão enviadas somente para os candidatos de quem se solicitará informações adicionais. 
  
  Na segunda fase, entraremos em contato com o candidato, a fim de marcar uma entrevista. Esteja ciente de que a bolsa só terá início depois que o candidato tenha obtido o seu diploma de doutorado. A posição estará disponível a partir de março de 2015.

  The area of research includes:

  (iii) Symmetries in dynamical systems: equivariance and reversibility;

  This position will be under the guidance of Professor Marco Antônio Teixeira. The candidate needs to be interested in working collaboratively with other research staff and graduate students within the research group. 
  
  The candidate must be working towards a doctoral degree in Mathematics with emphasis in Topology and Dynamical Systems. The candidate must have advanced proficiency in communicating scientific findings in peer-reviewed journals and professional meetings. 
  
  Applicants should submit to teixeira@ime.unicamp.br a statement of research experience and interest, a current CV with names and contact information of three referees, up to February 1st, 2015. 
  
  The selection process consists of two stages. In the first stage an analysis of the documentation sent to us by the candidate will take place. Such analysis will be done by a committee of 3 experts of the related area of research. Please note that responses will be sent only to applicants from whom we seek further information.
   
  In the second stage, we will contact the candidate in order to set up an interview. Please be aware that the fellowship will only commence once the candidate has obtained his PhD degree. The position will be available as of March 2015.
  
  This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP’s Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 6,143.40 (around 2,600 USD) monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
