• Resumo Summary

  O Departamento de Psiquiatria da Universidade Federal de São Paulo dispõe de uma bolsa de Pós-Doutorado para o desenvolvimento do Projeto Temático "Prevenção na esquizofrenia e no transtorno bipolar da neurociência à comunidade: uma plataforma multifásica, multimodal e translacional para investigação e intervenção", apoiado pela FAPESP (Processo N° 2011/50740-5), com duração de aproximadamente 12 meses. 
  
  Requisitos: 
  - Título de doutor obtido recentemente em Genética, Biologia Molecular ou Bioinformática. 
  - Publicações em revistas científicas envolvendo preferencialmente o estudo em Genética Psiquiátrica. 
  - Experiência prática na análise de dados de sequenciamento em larga escala, dados de expressão gênica gerados por Microarray ou RNA-seq e análise eQTL (Expression quantitative trait loci).

  The Department of Psychiatry of the Federal University of São Paulo (Brazil) offers a postdoctoral fellowship for the development of a Thematic Research Project supported by FAPESP (Process 2011/50740-5), entitled "Prevention In Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder from Neuroscience to Community: A Multi-Staging, Multimodal and Translational Platform for Investigation and Intervention", lasting approximately 12 months. 
  
  The objective of this project is to identify possible genetics biomarkers in schizophrenia to improve the early diagnosis of this disease and develop new therapeutic possibilities. We are looking for a skilled, independent, and motivated person. 
  
  Requirements: 
  - PhD degree obtained recently in Genetics, Molecular Biology or Bioinformatics. 
  - Publications in scientific journals, preferably involving the study of Psychiatric Genetics. 
  - Practical experience in data analysis of large-scale sequencing, gene expression data generated by microarray or RNA-seq, and eQTL (Expression quantitative trait loci).

  This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP’s Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 6,143.40 (around 2,600 USD) monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
