  • Resumo Summary

    O Laboratório de Fisiologia Respiratória de Vertebrados (@Gargaglioni’s_lab) do Departamento de Morfologia e Fisiologia Animal da FCAV de Jaboticabal/Unesp tem uma vaga aberta para Bolsa de Pós-Doutorado da FAPESP, com duração de 2 anos vinculada ao Projeto Temático acima referido coordenado pela Profª Dra. Luciane H. Gargaglioni Batalhão. O projeto a ser desenvolvido em camundongos envolve experimentos com transfecção viral, estereotaxia, implante de eletroencefalografia (EEG), eletromiografia (EMG), eletrocardiograma (ECG) e registro do ciclo sono/vigília, análise comportamental, registro de parâmetros cardiorrespiratórios e comportamentais e imunoistoquímica.

    O(a) candidato(a) a ser selecionado(a) deverá documentar experiência com algumas das técnicas e procedimentos experimentais destacados acima e apresentar publicações compatíveis com a área. Também é importante experiência na análise e processamento de sinais biológicos e experiência em estudo de comportamento em roedores. É indispensável fluência em inglês e habilidade de escrever artigos científicos.

    Os profissionais que preencham os requisitos deverão enviar para a coordenadora do projeto (luciane.gargaglioni@unesp.br) até 20/04/2022:

    a) Carta manifestando as suas motivações e experiência profissional;
    b) Carta de referência de 2 pesquisadores; e
    c) Curriculum Vitae atualizado.

    * Candidatos com maior potencial avaliado pelo CV poderão ser convocados para uma entrevista.

    A vaga está aberta a brasileiros e estrangeiros. O selecionado receberá Bolsa de Pós-Doutorado da FAPESP no valor de R$ 8.479,20 mensais e Reserva Técnica equivalente a 10% do valor anual da bolsa para atender a despesas imprevistas e diretamente relacionadas à atividade de pesquisa.

    One post-doctoral position is available for the project “Pathophysiology of CO2 sensitivity: role of the locus coeruleus”. This is an experimental, mice-based study, to evaluate abnormal central detection of CO2. The project involves experiments with viral transfection, stereotaxic surgery, implantation of electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography (EMG), electrocardiogram (ECG), and recording of the sleep/wake cycle, behavioral analysis, recording of cardiorespiratory and behavioral parameters, and immunohistochemistry.

    The candidate to be selected for the development of this project must document previous experience with some of the techniques and experimental procedures highlighted above and present publications compatible with the area of knowledge.

    Also important is experience in the analysis and processing of biological signals in software routinely used in physiology and experience in the study of behavior in rodents. Fluency in English and ability to write scientific articles are essential.

    Professionals who meet the requirements should send the following information to the project coordinator (luciane.gargaglioni@unesp.br) by 04/20/2022, the following information:

    a) Letter expressing their motivations and professional experience;
    b) Reference letter from two researchers; and
    c) Updated CV.

    Candidates with greater potential assessed by the CV may be invited for an interview. The selected candidate will be based in the Respiratory Physiology of Vertebrates Lab (@Gargaglioni’s_lab) at the Animal Morphology and Physiology Department of the São Paulo State University's School of Agrarian and Veterinary Sciences (FCAV-UNESP) in Jaboticabal, Brazil.

    This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationality. The selected candidate will receive a Post-Doctoral fellowship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) in the amount of R$ 8,479.20 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
