• Resumo Summary

  O objetivo desse projeto será identificar as vias de sinalização celular ativadas em decorrência da elevação de espécies reativas de oxigênio implicadas na persistência dos reservatórios virais, com consequente manipulação do ambiente celular utilizando as diferentes intervenções que almejam a cura esterilizante pelo HIV-1.

  A presente proposta representa um fio condutor que une parte dos objetivos do Projeto Temático com uma das linhas de pesquisa em andamento no Laboratório de Retrovirologia da Unifesp, que tem como foco o estudo dos fatores envolvidos na persistência da infecção pelo HIV-1 e da combinação de intervenções terapêuticas que possibilitem a eliminação dos reservatórios virais. O candidato selecionado para o estágio de pós-doutorado desenvolverá o projeto visando proporcionar maior entendimento sobre as vias de sinalização celular implicadas na integração e persistência do HIV em seus reservatórios, bem como promover, com a adequada manipulação do ambiente celular, a ativação dos reservatórios do HIV com vistas à sua erradicação, em conjunto com diferentes intervenções que almejam a cura esterilizante pelo HIV-1.

  Em última instância, o bolsista promoverá a geração de conhecimento em pesquisa básica que pode contribuir num futuro próximo para a aplicação de novas abordagens terapêuticas para a erradicação da infecção pelo HIV-1.

  A vaga está aberta a brasileiros e estrangeiros. O selecionado receberá Bolsa de Pós-Doutorado da FAPESP no valor de R$ 7.373,10 mensais e Reserva Técnica equivalente a 10% do valor anual da bolsa para atender a despesas imprevistas e diretamente relacionadas à atividade de pesquisa.

  The objective of this project will be to identify the cell signaling pathways activated as the result of an increase of reactive oxygen species involved in the persistence of viral reservoirs, with consequent manipulation of the cellular environment using different interventions that aim at a sterilizing cure for HIV-1.

  This proposal represents a common thread that connects part of the objectives of the Thematic Project with one of the lines of research underway at the Retrovirology Laboratory at the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP) in São Paulo, Brazil, which focuses on the study of factors involved in the persistence of HIV-1 infection combining of therapeutic interventions that enable the elimination of viral reservoirs.

  The selected candidate for the post-doctoral internship will develop the project aiming to provide a greater understanding of the cell signaling pathways involved in the integration and persistence of HIV reservoirs, and with the proper manipulation of the cellular environment to promote the activation of HIV reservoirs, aiming at its eradication, together with different interventions that aim at the sterilizing cure for HIV-1.

  Finally, the fellow will promote the generation of knowledge in basic research to promote the application of new therapeutic approaches for the eradication of HIV-1 infection in the near future.

  This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a Post-Doctoral fellowship from the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) in the amount of R$ 7,373.10 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
