  • Resumo Summary

    Bolsa de pós-doutorado para desenvolver uma plataforma para investigar a contribuição das vacinas produzidas pelo Instituto Butantan na seleção de variantes virais, seja de SARS-CoV-2, dengue ou influenza. Será utilizado abordagens de biologia molecular e análise genômicas.

    Este projeto será desenvolvido no Centro de Pesquisa em Toxinas, Resposta Imune e Sinalização Celular, um Centro de Pesquisa e Inovação e Difusão (CEPID) financiado pela FAPESP e sitiado no Instituto Butantan, o maior produtor de vacinas da América Latina.

    Os candidatos devem possuir doutorado em Virologia Molecular. Será preferível candidatos com conhecimento prévio em cultivo de vírus/pseudovírus, manipulação genética, engenharia genética, e que tenham facilidade em análises computacionais. Experiência prévia em reparo de DNA e fluência em inglês é recomendado.

    O candidato deve ter concluído o Doutorado há menos de 7 anos e ter excelente Histórico Acadêmico e Escolar. Não serão aceitos candidatos que já tenham gozado de Bolsa FAPESP de Pós-Doutorado por mais de 3 anos e que não possuam artigo científico como primeiro/último autor.

    Os interessados em se candidatar devem enviar por e-mail (julia.cunha@butantan.gov.br, carolina.eliassabbaga@butantan.gov.br) contendo:

    1) Carta concisa de suas realizações anteriores em pesquisa e motivos do interesse no projeto;
    2) Link para o CV Lattes; e
    3) Duas (02) cartas de referências de ex-orientadores.

    A vaga está aberta a brasileiros e estrangeiros. O selecionado receberá Bolsa de Pós-Doutorado da FAPESP no valor de R$ 7.373,10 mensais e Reserva Técnica equivalente a 10% do valor anual da bolsa para atender a despesas imprevistas e diretamente relacionadas à atividade de pesquisa.

    A post-doctoral fellowship to develop a platform to investigate the contribution of vaccines produced by the Butantan Institute (São Paulo, Brazil) in the selection of viral variants, such as SARS-CoV-2, dengue or influenza. In this project, molecular biology and genomic analysis approaches will be used.

    This project will be developed at the Center for Toxins, Immune Response and Cellular Signaling, a Research, Innovation and Dissemination Center (RIDC) supported by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and located at Butantan Institute, the largest producer of vaccines in Latin America.

    Candidates must have a doctorate in Molecular Virology. Candidates with prior knowledge in virus/pseudovirus cultivation, genetic manipulation, genetic engineering, and those with skills in computational analysis will be preferable.

    The candidate must have completed the Doctorate less than 7 years ago. Candidates who have already received a FAPESP PD fellowship for more than 3 years will not be accepted as well as those with no scientific article as the first/last author.

    Those interested in applying must send the following documentation by e-mail (julia.cunha@butantan.gov.br, carolina.eliassabbaga@butantan.gov.br):

    1) A letter with summary of their previous achievements in research and reasons for interest in the project;
    2) Link to the CV Lattes or a regular CV; and
    3) Two recommendation letters from previous supervisors.

    This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP’s Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 7,373.10 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
