  O Centro de Toxinas, Resposta Imune e Sinalização Celular, um Centro de Pesquisa, Inovação e Difusão apoiado pela FAPESP com sede no Instituto Butantan, tem vagas para pós-doutoramento na área de “Proteômica aplicada ao estudo de vias de sinalização disparadas por proteinases de venenos de serpentes”.

  O projeto prevê a aplicação de abordagens proteômicas para analisar os efeitos da metaloproteinase HF3 e do veneno da Bothrops jararaca sobre células em cultura e in vivo. Os candidatos deverão ter experiência na utilização de cromatografia ortogonal, eletroforese de proteínas, Western blot, espectrometria de massas aplicada à identificação de proteínas, e cultura de células.

  A vaga está aberta a brasileiros e estrangeiros. O selecionado receberá Bolsa de Pós-Doutorado da FAPESP no valor de R$ 7.373,10 mensais e Reserva Técnica equivalente a 15% do valor anual da bolsa para atender a despesas imprevistas e diretamente relacionadas à atividade de pesquisa.

  One Post-doctoral position is available at the Center for Research on Toxins, Immune-Response and Cell Signaling (CeTICS), one of the Research, Innovation and Dissemination Centers (RIDC) supported by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) based in the Butantan Institute in the city of São Paulo, Brazil.

  The fellow will work on the project “Proteomics applied to the study of signaling events triggered by snake venom proteinases,” which involves the use of proteomic approaches to analyze the effects of the metalloproteinase HF3 and of Bothrops jararaca venom on cells and in vivo. Applicants should have proven experience with orthogonal chromatography, protein electrophoresis, Western blot, mass spectrometry applied to protein identification, and cell culture.

The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP’s Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 7,373.10 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
