  • Resumo Summary

    O projeto “Aceleração de partículas a laser no programa de Capacitação Científica, tecnológica e em infraestrutura em radiofármacos e empreendedorismo a serviço da saúde”, financiado parcialmente pela FAPESP sob número nº 2017/50332-0, abre vaga para bolsista de Pós-Doutorado.

    Este projeto conta com equipe constituída por grupo multidisciplinar que inclui pesquisadores participantes do IPEN, USP-SP, ITA, e uma colaboração internacional com a Universidade de Nebraska-Lincoln, cujas linhas de pesquisa estão voltadas ao desenvolvimento de aceleradores compactos de partículas a laser, elétrons e prótons, e as radiações induzidas por estes feixes. O candidato deverá ter familiaridade experimental para atuar em uma ou mais das áreas a seguir:

    • Lasers de alta intensidade; ou
    • Plasmas induzidos por lasers, wakefield e formação de campos intensos em plasmas de densidade subcrítica ou próxima da crítica, tanto em meios sólidos, líquidos e gasosos;
    • É desejável experiência em produção de alvos gasosos ou líquidos para interações laser-plasma com perfil de densidade controlado e ajustável;
    • Métodos de detecção de feixes de partículas deverão ser desenvolvidos. Os feixes formados nestes plasmas serão caracterizados em sua divergência e monocromaticidade. Em particular, pretende-se acelerar prótons e/ou elétrons para atingir energias cinéticas de uma dezena de MeV, sendo este o principal objetivo da pesquisa.

    Os resultados desta pesquisa deverão ser em forma de apresentação de seminários, internos e em conferências, simpósios e outras formas científicas de apresentação, assim como a elaboração de artigos científicos e patentes de forma a disseminar os resultados da pesquisa. A bolsa de PD destina-se a desenvolver projeto específico no tema: Aceleradores de prótons/elétrons a laser e suas aplicações.

    Condições da bolsa

    Processo seletivo

    A seleção dos candidatos será realizada em duas etapas, conduzidas por uma Comissão de Seleção, designada pelo Coordenador do Projeto:

    1) Fase 1: Serão avaliados o curriculum, as publicações, o perfil e a trajetória do candidato, assim como a qualidade científica da proposta e sua aderência às linhas de pesquisa do projeto.

    2) Fase 2: Entrevista, com os selecionados na Fase 1, presencial ou por videoconferência ou por questionário com a comissão de seleção, que avaliará o mérito das propostas e o desempenho nessa entrevista.

    O resultado da primeira fase será divulgado no dia 12/07/2019 na internet.

    Os candidatos selecionados para a segunda fase serão convocados para entrevista.

    Divulgação dos resultados

    O resultado será divulgado nos sites do IPEN no dia 09/08/2019.

    O resultado será divulgado por ordem de classificação dos candidatos no processo seletivo. A classificação dos candidatos será considerada para efeito de lista de espera; caso o candidato melhor classificado não apresente condições para implementação da bolsa, será convocado o segundo colocado e assim sucessivamente até o preenchimento da vaga.

    A decisão da Comissão de Seleção será tomada em caráter definitivo e não caberá recurso.

    The Nuclear and Energy Research Institute (IPEN) in São Paulo, Brazil, has a post-doctoral vacancy under the aegis of its Institutional Developing Program (PDIP), partially funded by a São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) grant (process #2017/50332-0). The selected candidate will develop research at the project titled “Laser particle acceleration in the program Scientific, technological and infrastructure Developments in radiopharmaceuticals and entrepreneurship to the service of health.”

    This project team consists of a group that includes researchers from IPEN, the University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil’s Aeronautical Technology Institute (ITA), and an international collaboration with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, whose lines of research are focused on the development of compact laser particle accelerators (electrons and protons), and the radiations induced by these bundles for use in medicine. The candidate should have experimental familiarity in one or more areas of this activity, which involves the following areas:

    • High intensity lasers or;
