  • Resumo Summary

    Trata-se de um estágio para um técnico de nível TT-5 que terá como principal função coordenar os distintos esforços relacionados a TI do projeto GMT. O escolhido será nosso principal contato brasileiro no GMT para o observatório e os instrumentos: quanto ao primeiro, ele ajudará na usabilidade e no design das interfaces entre o telescópio e os instrumentos, bem como na certificação e desenvolvimento da performance exigida para os componentes e seus respectivos fins científicos (como o dos sensores de Shack-Hartmann, sensores e atuadores de flexão mecânica Hexapod, etc).

    Já com relação aos instrumentos, ele atuará como consultor junto a especialistas da Organização GMT (GMTO), garantindo que a arquitetura adotada pela GMTO no observatório e telescópio também seja empregada nos instrumentos, incluindo todo o planejamento de software, desde o controle dos subsistemas até a redução de dados.

    O bolsista terá a oportunidade de participar do desenvolvimento do Instrumento GMACS, em parceria com a Texas A&M University, e do Instrumento G-CLEF, em parceria com a University of Harvard. Fará parte do Grupo GMTBrO (GMT Brazil Office), lotado no IAG/USP, São Paulo, onde será necessário dar suporte ao Projeto GMT Fapesp.

    O bolsista selecionado pela Coordenação do Projeto GMT Fapesp se reportará a um Grupo Sênior de Astrônomos e Engenheiros que está participando, nesta fase, do CoDR (Conceptual Design Review) do instrumento GMACS e do CDR (Critical Design Review) do instrumento G-CLEF.

    Com uma ampla abrangência de atuação e importância aos projetos, este bolsista deverá apresentar uma grande experiência e conhecimentos avançados em TI.

    Requisitos:
    - Graduado, especialista em TI, com pelo menos 5 anos de experiência ou com título de doutorado;
    - Não ter vínculo empregatício;
    - Conhecimentos em Linux, Unified Modeling Language (UML) e JavaScript (GoogleV8 e d3.js desejáveis).
    - Desejáveis conhecimentos em astrofísica observacional, óptica, controle e automação, EthertCAT, MS-Project e Engenharia de Sistemas.

    Documentos para inscrição:
    - Currículo;
    - Link para o CV Lattes ou link para o Google Scholar;
    - 1 carta de referência.

    Internship for a level TT-5 technician whose main function will be coordinating the different efforts related to TI of GMT Project. He/she will be our main Brazilian contact in the GMT for the observatory and the instruments. At the observatory he/she will help in the usability and design of the interfaces between the telescope and the instruments, as well as in the certification and development of the components' demanded performance, regarding their scientific purposes (for instance the Shack-Hartmann sensores Hexapod sensores and mechanical flexion actuator etc).

    For the instruments, he/she will work closely with GMT Organization (GMTO) especialists as adviser, making sure the archicteture adopted by GMTO for the observatory and the telescope is applied to the instruments, including all the software planning — from the subsystems control to the data reduction.

    The scholarship student will participate in the development of the instrument GMACS, in partnership with Texas A&M University, and the instrument G-CLEF, in partnership with the Harvard University. He/she will take part of the GMTBrO Group (GMT Brazil Office), which is located at the IAG/USP – Sao Paulo, where it will be necessary to give support to the GMT FAPESP Project.

    The scholarship student selected by the GMT FAPESP Project Coordination will report to a Senior Group of Astronomers and Engineers and will then take part of the CoDR (Conceptual Design Review) of the GMACS instrument and the CDR (Critical Design Review) of the G-CLEF instrument.

    The scholarship student will have to present a wide range of experience and advanced knowledge in TI, because of his/her strong wide abrangency of acting in the Project.

    Requirements

    - Undergraduate TI expert with at least 5 years experience or a doctoral degree;
    - Not having a employing relationship;
    - Knowledge in Linux, Unified Modeling Language (UML) e JavaScript (GoogleV8 e d3.js desirable).
    - Desirable knowledge in observational astrophysics, optics, control and automation, EtherCAT, MS-Project and Systems engineering
