  • Resumo Summary

    Está aberta uma vaga de pós-doutoramento para este projeto. O objetivo das atividades a serem realizadas pelo bolsista é pesquisar como o ASIC proposto para ser utilizado no TPC do experimento ALICE pode ser adaptado para outras aplicações, de forma que a tecnologia e os circuitos desenvolvidos possam ser absorvidos pela indústria e outros centros de pesquisa nacionais e/ou internacionais. A adaptação do ASIC envolverá a utilização dos blocos funcionais IPs projetados, tais como Charge Sensitive Amplifier, Semi-Gaussian Shaper e Analog-to-Digital (ADC) Converter.

    O perfil requerido para o candidato é:
    - Doutorado recente em microeletrônica, em um tópico relacionado ao design analógico ou sinais mistos;
    - Bons conhecimentos do idioma Inglês;
    - Pelo menos uma publicação em uma revista indexada de alta qualidade de microeletrônica;
    - Experiência com simulações de AMS (analógicas e de sinais mistos);
    - Experiência com design analógico/RF, layout e ferramentas;
    - Excelentes habilidades de programação em Verilog-A, Matlab;
    - Conhecimento em algoritmos de otimização e sua aplicação no projeto de circuitos microeletrônicos é desejável;
    - Experiência com o projeto e testes de circuitos de sinais mistos;
    - Experiência com layout analógico de dispositivos CMOS;
    - Experiência em testes com equipamentos eletrônicos.

    A bolsa terá duração de 24 meses e os interessados devem enviar mensagem para o Prof. Wilhelmus Van Noije, no endereço noije@lsi.usp.br. Solicita-se anexar CV que mostre que atende o perfil requerido.

    One post-doctoral position is open for this project. The purpose of the activities to be undertaken by the fellow is the research of new applications for the proposed ASIC of the ALICE-TPC aiming the inclusion of the technology and developed circuits in the Brazilian industry and other research centers. The adaptation of the ASIC will involve the use of the designed functional IP blocks such as the Charge Sensitive Amplifier, the Shaper Semi-Gaussian and Analog-to-Digital Converter.

    The required profile for the candidate is:
    - A recent Ph.D. degree in microelectronics in a topic related to analog design;
    - Good knowledge of the English Language;
    - At least 1 publication in a high quality peer reviewed microelectronic journal;
    - Experience with AMS simulations (analog and mixed signal);
    - Experience with analog/RF design and layout and tools;
    - Excellent programming skills in Verilog-A, Matlab;
    - Knowledge in optimization algorithms and their application in microelectronic circuit design is desirable and a plus;
    - Experience with mixed signal circuit design and test;
    - Experience with analog CMOS layout;
    - Experience in electronic testing equipment.

    The fellowship is for 24 months and the candidates must send a message to Prof. Wilhelmus Van Noije at the address noije@lsi.if.usp.br. Please, attach a CV that shows that it meets the required profile.

    This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP's Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 6.819,30 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
