    a) Curriculum Lattes atualizado.

Open opportunity for FAPESP Post-Doctoral fellowship with a duration of 24 months, linked to the Thematic Project "Genomic study and immunological characterization of cattle resistant to bovine babesiosis and analysis of the genetic diversity of Babesia bovis and Babesia bigemina" (process 2016/07216-7).

The project will be developed at Embrapa Pecuária Sudeste located on the Washington Luiz Highway, Km 234, Fazenda Canchim, São Carlos, São Paulo. The grant is linked to the subprojects "Immune profile of Canchim cattle during natural infection by Babesia bovis and Babesia bigemina", "Molecular characterization and evaluation of virulence of Babesia bovis and Babesia bigemina isolated from naturally infected Canchim cattle" and "Detection of transplacental transmission of Babesia bovis and Babesia bigemina: genetic characterization and evaluation of virulence".

The objective of this project is to provide a basis for genetic studies of resistance to bovine babesiosis by identifying causes of variation in the level of infection, cellular and humoral immune response, and expression of genes associated with the immune process in bovines naturally infected by Babesia bovis and Babesia bigemina, from fetal infection by transplacental transmission to the stage where the immune response is already stabilized.

Candidates must have a solid background in molecular and cell biology. It is imperative to have experience in flow cytometry. The fellow will also participate in other activities related to the Thematic Project, giving support to students in the development of theses and dissertations, contributing to the development and proper progress of studies, as well as writing reports and scientific articles.

Applications will be received exclusively by email, with documentation attached in PDF format and sent to Prof. Dr. Henrique Nunes de Oliveira, researcher responsible for the project (holiveira@fcav.unesp.br), until December 31, 2016.

The documents required for registration are:
    A) Curriculum Lattes updated.
    B) letter of presentation indicating the reason of interest in the scholarship, with a brief report of your experience.
    C) two letters of recommendation.

This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP's Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 6.819,30 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.

More information about the fellowship is at: www.fapesp.br/en/5427.
