  • Resumo Summary

    O Instituto Brasileiro de Neurociência e Neurotecnologia, localizado no campus da UNICAMP, busca candidatos altamente motivados e analiticamente capazes para oportunidade de Pós-Doutorado, vinculada a projeto CEPID financiado pela FAPESP. A bolsa tem duração inicial de dois anos.

    O(A) candidato(a) deverá ter obtido o título de Doutor a menos de 4 anos em uma das seguintes áreas: Estatística, Bioestatística, Matemática, Biologia Computacional, Bioinformática ou áreas afins; e possuir interesse pelo trabalho na área de neurociências e análise integrativa de dados -ômicos. Proficiência em programação (por exemplo, R, Python, Perl, C, C++ ou Java) e pelo menos três artigos em periódicos científicos com revisão por pares nos últimos três anos são requeridos. Excelente comunicação oral e escrita (Inglês, Português ou Espanhol) é indispensável.

    The Brazilian Institute of Neuroscience and Neurotechnology (BRAINN), located at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP/Brazil), is seeking highly motivated and analytically capable postdoctoral candidates with strong interest in neurosciences and integrative analytical approaches for -omics data.

    Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree, obtained in the last 4 years, with strong analytic background in one of the following areas: Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics or equivalent. Programming proficiency in some language (e.g., R, Python, Perl, C, C++ or Java) and at least three scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals in the last three years are required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English, Portuguese or Spanish) are indispensable.

    Funds are available for an initial 2 years period. Please send CV and two recommendation letters to icendes@unicamp.br, until September 20, 2016.

    This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP's Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 6.819,30 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
