The São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and the British Council, with the Newton Fund, announce a new call for proposals to support the organization of research workshops.

The FAPESP / Brazil-Newton Researcher Links (BNRL) Workshop 2015 call for proposals is designed to provide financial support to bring together a UK/São Paulo State cohort of early career researchers to take part in a workshop focusing on building links for future collaboration and enhancing the researchers’ career opportunities.

This year, the Brazilian National Council of State Research and Innovation Support Foundations (Confap) also integrates the call for proposals.

Workshops will be coordinated by two leading researchers: one from a UK institution, one working in a higher education or research institution in the State of São Paulo.

Proposals will be accepted in any discipline or multidisciplinary area including from the natural sciences, social sciences, arts and humanities. FAPESP and the British Council will co-fund the workshops.

The selected workshops must take place in the State of São Paulo before March 1st, 2016. Up to 40 researchers can take part in each workshop.

Applicants should submit a joint proposal before July 13th, 2015 to the British Council and FAPESP.

The call is available at: www.fapesp.br/9392.
