The Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR) has issued a Call for Proposals for new research projects in collaboration between French and the State of São Paulo researchers in the framework of the Generic Call 2015, under the cooperation agreement signed by the French agency and the FAPESP.

The selected themes are “Neurosciences, Cardiovascular Diseases (CVD) and Metabolism”, “Marine Research” and “Social Sciences and Humanities” (on October 10, 2014, an additional theme was added, "Metabolism").

The pre-registration must be done exclusively by the French researcher using ANR procedures until November 18th, 2014.

The full proposals should be submitted by the French partner researcher by March 2015 through ANR’s procedure and under rules and schedule to be released by the French agency.

For the applicant researcher in the São Paulo State, the collaborative proposals will be carried out at FAPESP as a Research Award in the Regular or Thematic Project schemes, as determined by the applicant.

FAPESP and ANR agree to fund the projects on a balanced basis, considering the amount of effort dedicated by researchers on each side. The indicative average funding per country is € 250.000 for a three-year project.
