Heitor Cantarella received a doctoral degree in agronomy from the Iowa State University of Science and Technology in 1983. He is affiliated with the Agronomy Institute of Campinas, where he is a scientific researcher (category VI). He is also a member of the Brazilian Society of Soil Science, as well as president of the Council of Trustees of the Brazilian Foundation to Support Agricultural Research.
Dr. Cantarella has published over 60 articles in specialized journals, as well as 120 papers in conference proceedings. He is the author of 25 book chapters, eight books, and one computer program, as well as of another eight works in production.
Dr. Cantarella works in the field of agronomy, with a focus on soil fertility and fertilization.
