Call for proposals with University of Toronto and University of Western Ontario Versão em português
FAPESP and Universities of Toronto and Western Ontario will support the exchange of researchers (photo:UofT)
As part of their agreement on scientific collaboration, FAPESP and the Universities of Toronto and Western Ontario, in Canada, are jointly issuing a public call for proposals for the exchange of researchers.
Researchers affiliated with public or private institutions of higher education or research in the State of São Paulo are eligible if they have an ongoing project funded by one of the following FAPESP grant mechanisms: Regular Research Grants, Thematic Project Grants, the Young Researchers at Emerging Centers Program, or the Centers for Research, Innovation, and Dissemination (CEPID).
Researchers affiliated with the Universities of Toronto and Western Ontario can participated on the Canadian side.
This call for proposals is open to researchers in all fields of knowledge. The duration of the projects for the exchange of researchers may be as long as 24 months. However, they must begin and end within the time frame of the ongoing related projects funded by FAPESP.
FAPESP will award each successful applicant the equivalent of up to 10,000 Canadian dollars per year to cover travel (air tickets), health insurance and living allowances for researchers from the State of São Paulo visiting their collaborators in Canada.
The Universities of Toronto and Western Ontario will award each successful applicant from Canada the equivalent of up to 10,000 Canadian dollars per year to cover travel (air tickets), health insurance and living allowances for researchers visiting their collaborators in the State of São Paulo.
Applications must be submitted simultaneously by researchers in each country. Researchers in the State of São Paulo should apply to FAPESP. Their collaborators in Canada should apply to the Universites of Toronto or Western Ontario. The deadline for applications is November 01, 2011.
