The FAPESP, São Paulo Research Foundation and the King's College London, KCL in the UK, have disclosed the list of projects approved under the public call for proposals issued on 15 February 2011, under the agreement for scientific cooperation between the two institutions.

The call was open to proposals for researcher exchange between the state of São Paulo and the KCL submitted by principal investigators currently supported by FAPESP under one of the following grant mechanisms: Regular Research Awards; Thematic Project; the Young Researchers at Emerging Centers Program; and the Centers for Research, Innovation and Dissemination (CEPID) Program.

This cooperation agreement aims to support the development of joint research projects in all areas of scientific knowledge and include the exchange of researchers. On the British side, criterion for eligibility is that the proposal must be submitted only by researchers working within King’s College London. On the Brazilian side, criterion for eligibility is that the proposal must be submitted only by researchers working within higher education and research institutions located in the State of São Paulo.
