Fulbright Commission Versão em português

The FAPESP-Fulbright Cooperative Program for Visiting Professors and Researchers from the United States has the following objectives: to increase awareness of science and technology research conducted in Brazil, and in the state of São Paulo in particular, among academics and researchers in the United States; to demonstrate FAPESP’s commitment to the promotion of scientific and technological research at higher education level in the State of Sao Paulo; and to establish new lines of research for FAPESP-funded projects, such as the thematic projects of those conducted at one of the Centers for Research, Innovation and Dissemination (CEPIDs).

This cooperative agreement was signed on October 21, 2004, with a validity of four years and the option for renewal at four-year intervals.

In 2006, FAPESP and the Fulbright Commission issued a call for proposals in which the leaders of thematic projects or CEPID projects were invited to submit proposals for professors and researchers currently working in the United States to visit public or private institutions of higher education and research institutes in the state of São Paulo.
