The Multi-user Equipment Program finances the acquisition of high-budget durable materials, requested by consortia of research groups, as well as supplies and services necessary for their installation and placing into operation.
The program is of an infrastructural nature and does not aim to provide conventional financial support to the projects which sustain each application. Funding for the implementation of these projects should be sought via the proper research funding lines.
It should be emphasized also that the maintenance costs of the equipment should be covered by other sources, including the Technical Reserve within the consortium's processes or by the department in which they are installed.
