FAPESP and the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC), from the United Kingdom, announce the result of a call for proposals launched in March 2019, which aimed at funding collaborative projects between researchers from the State of São Paulo and researchers from the UK. One proposal was selected.

The opportunity, which is entitled “Global Partnerships Seedcorn Fund,” is an annual call to foster cooperation in the fields of Earth science, marine science, freshwater biology, archeology, polar and atmospheric sciences, and Earth observation, i.e., themes that integrates NERC’s remit.

Supported activities may include, but are not limited to, programmes of exchange visits, scoping studies and workshops. The objective of The Global Partnerships Seedcorn Fund is to forge new partnerships between UK environmental science researchers and the best international researchers, in order to seed collaborations that will be sustained beyond the lifetime of the grant.

The call for proposals is available at www.fapesp.br/en/12568.
