FAPESP and Weizmann Institute of Science announce new call for proposals The aim is to promote collaboration between researchers from Israel and from the State of São Paulo in all fields of knowledge (photo: Weizmann Institute of Science)

The São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and the Weizmann Institute of Science (WIS), Israel, launch the second call for joint research projects under the auspices of the agreement signed by the institutions. 

The call aims to promote and to strengthen collaboration between researchers affiliated with WIS and researches affiliated with higher education and research institutions in the State of São Paulo. 

The call is open for proposals in all areas of knowledge.

Applicants from Israel and from the State of São Paulo must satisfy the eligibility criteria of WIS and FAPESP, respectively. With regard to São Paulo State researchers, the proposals must be written in compliance with the Regular Research Awards FAPESP scheme. Principal or associate investigators at projects with ongoing support through Thematic Project Grants, Young Investigator Grants and Research, Innovation and Dissemination Centers are considered eligible.

The proposals will be received until July 22, 2019.
