FAPESP and Belmont Forum will fund projects in sustainable urbanisation Fifteen multinational projects were selected, five of which will be coordinated by researchers from the State of São Paulo

The São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) announces the result of a call for research proposals with the Belmont Forum, group of member organizations with the mission to encourage research on global changes.

The “Sustainable Urbanisation Global Initiative” call for proposals aims to bring together integrated teams of natural scientists, engineers, social scientists, business, and urban stakeholders to develop projects requiring collaborative, international, inter- and transdisciplinary research and innovation.

The call is supported by Belmont Forum selected funding agencies from different countries and also by agencies related to the Joint Programming Initiative (JPI) Urban Europe, a total of 18 countries and participating regions.

The call will support collaborative research projects of multinational research teams for 36 months
