FAPESP and the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC), one of the UK Research Councils (RCUK), announce the result of a call for proposals launched to fund collaborative projects between researchers from the State of São Paulo and researchers from UK.

The opportunity, “BBSRC-FAPESP Anti-Microbial Resistance - AMR and Insect Pest Resistance in Livestock and Agriculture”, is supported by Newton Fund and will be managed as a two-stage process.

In this first stage, ten proposals were approved and will be supported for a period of 12 months. The purpose is to enable researchers to work together on developing competitive, integrated, collaborative research proposals for submission to the second stage of the call, to be launched in 2018.
