FAPESP and CONICYT will support research in Agroindustry Versão em português

FAPESP and the Comisión Nacional de Investigación Científica y Tecnológica (CONICYT), from Chile, announce the first call for proposals under the cooperation agreement signed by the institutions. 

The aim is to promote and strengthen the collaboration between researchers affiliated with higher education and research institutions in the State of São Paulo and researchers from Chile.

The call invites research proposals in the field of Agroindustry, in the following topics: “Environmental sustainability vs. food production: food safety; use of agro-industrial waste; development of new food additives; natural products for pest control” and “IT in agriculture”.

FAPESP and CONICYT are each prepared to fund up to the equivalent of USD 30,000 per project/per year. Each side shall finance its own national research teams.

Eligibility criteria and submission rules will follow the scheme of FAPESP’s Regular Research Awards (www.fapesp.br/apr). Exceptions are described in the call for proposals.

Proposals must be submitted only to FAPESP, through SAGe system (www.fapesp.br/sage), until April 30, 2018.
