The São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and the Direction Générale Opérationnelle Economie, Emploi & Recherche du Service Public de Wallonie (DGO6) announce a new call for research proposals and invite researchers in the State of São Paulo and in Wallonia, Belgium to present research proposals within the scope of the agreement between the institutions.

The themes of interest shared by DGO6 and FAPESP for this call for research proposals are: Biotechnology and healthcare; Food; Green technologies and sustainable development; Logistics applied to biotechnology, food processing and retail companies within the transportation user sector; Aeronautics and space; Mechanics.

Each proposal must include an eligible lead in Wallonia and in the State of São Paulo. Small and medium enterprises, academia and research centres in Belgium can be funded through this call from the DGO6 side.

Applicants from the State of São Paulo in the proposed project must be a researcher associated to a small business (less than 250 employees) established in the State of São Paulo. In this mode, proposals submitted to FAPESP must follow the rules of FAPESP’s Program for Innovative Research in Small Businesses (PIPE).

The selected research projects can have between nine and twenty four months of duration. The projects will receive funding from DGO6 in Wallonia and from FAPESP in the State of São Paulo.

The deadline for applications in the call for proposals is May 29th, 2015.
