Scientific and Technological Cooperation Agreement FAPESP - RCUK First Amendment Versão em português

First Amendment to the Agreement on Scientific and Technological Cooperation signed on 15 September 2009 between the Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP), Rua Pio XI, 1500 - Alto da Lapa, CEP 05468-901 - São Paulo / SP, Brazil, represented by Prof. Dr. Celso Lafer, President, and the Research Councils United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (RCUK), Polaris House, North Star Avenue, Swindon, SN2 1ET, London, United Kingdom, represented by Professor Paul Boyle

Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (hereinafter "FAPESP") and Research Councils United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (hereinafter RCUK), hereinafter referred to as "Parties";

WHEREAS, the Parties desire to extend the term of the Agreement started on 15 September 2009,

AGREE to amend the clause mentioned below, as the follow:

Section 6 - Change the sixth clause, which shall read as follows:

"6 - This Cooperation Agreement may be terminated by any Party giving six months advance written notice. This Cooperation Agreement will otherwise terminate on December 31, 2015, unless renewed by agreement between the Parties. "

Except as expressly provided for this First Amendment, the remaining provisions of the Agreement remain in full force and effect.

The Parties are in agreement and have signed this First Amendment in duplicate.
