Holds a BSc degree in Chemistry from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, PUC-RS (1980), MSc (1992) and Doctorate (1997) in Food Science from the University of Campinas, UNICAMP, Brazil. Post-doctoral activities at The Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University, Denmark (2004-2005) and at the University of Porto, Portugal (2009). She maintains scientific collaborations with the University of Kopenhagen, University of Porto and University of Bologna.

Hired in 2000 as Assistant Professor at the Department of Food Science (DCA) of the School of Food Engineering (FEA) of UNICAMP, Associate Professor in 2006, having become Full Professor in 2012.

Professor Bragagnolo is the recipient of a Researcher Fellowship from CNPq. She has experience in food analysis and chemistry, with emphasis on lipids.

She is a member of the Editorial Board of Food Research International and of the Journal of Medical Sciences. She was a member of the Board of Directors of the Brazilian Society of Food Science and Technology (2010-2012). 

Internally, at FEA and Unicamp, she actively participates in many administrative activities associated with scientific evaluation,  being a member of the Graduate Committee of Food Science, and of the university’s Internal Committee for Advancement of Faculty Careers (CIDD/UNICAMP).
